Drs. Ross Dies, Cody Cowen, Ben Beach, Katie Beach, Alexis Underhill, Kathryn Connor, and Emile Geneux are all dedicated to making your experience with Shreveport Bossier Family Dental Care as comfortable and personal as possible. The style of dentures that’s right for you will be determined after a thorough examination during your first consultation. There are two main types of dentures, partial and full.

  • Partial dentures are used for patients who are missing one or more teeth but have some remaining healthy ones. Clasps are generally used to hold the dentures in place.

  • Full dentures replace entire sets of teeth and are complete with artificial gum tissue used to create a natural look and act as the point of connection between the dentures and your gums.

Dentures can either be entirely removable or be used in conjunction with dental implants to create a permanent, long-lasting set of teeth.

Why Replace Missing Teeth?

Missing teeth can cause many oral health problems if they are not replaced immediately. In cases in which a few teeth are missing, the remaining healthy teeth can tend to shift, making it essential to restore the structure of the jaw as soon as possible. Missing teeth and misaligned smiles are also at a higher risk for tooth decay and gum disease, as their displacement makes it more difficult to clean them.
